Ulnar nerve entrapment is a group of symptoms that occur when the ulnar nerve is compressed along its course. The main symptoms are numbness and weakness in the ring and little fingers.
There are various causes, but the most common are cubital tunnel syndrome and ulnar tunnel syndrome. In most cases the nerve is trapped at the elbow rather than the wrist.
Numbness and burning pain in the fingers and palm
Reduced motor function and abnormal sensation due to hand numbness
If symptoms persist, reduced sensation on the ring- and little-finger side and weakness or wasting of the hand muscles
Worsening pain on the inner side of the elbow
