Knee BMC is a treatment in which the patient's own bone marrow is transplanted into the joint
to improve joint function and help cartilage regenerate. It is a stem cell treatment
recognized as a new health technology by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and it has been evaluated
as a safe and effective technique for relieving knee joint pain and improving function.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare recently designated the technique of injecting autologous bone marrow into the knee joint to relieve and improve knee joint pain as a new health technology. Its official name is "Intra-articular injection of bone marrow aspirate concentrate for knee osteoarthritis." Bone marrow taken from the patient's body is centrifuged into concentrated bone marrow stem cells, which are then injected directly into the knee.

Please avoid activities that put strain on the knee.
You can walk carefully right after treatment.
Right after the procedure, a sandbag is placed on the site for about 2 hours to stop bleeding.
Pain may occur for about 2–5 days after the procedure. If it lasts more than 7 days, a warm compress can help.
Use walking aids so that no weight is placed on the knee.
Avoid NSAID anti-inflammatory drugs, which interfere with the effect and regeneration of stem cells, for at least 2 weeks.
If the pain is severe, take an acetaminophen-type pain reliever or the pain reliever provided by our hospital.
Please avoid strenuous exercise that presses on (interfering with blood circulation) or irritates the procedure site. (For about 2 weeks)
If the injection site becomes very swollen, or if persistent fever, swelling or redness occurs, please contact the hospital.
For the best results, please avoid alcohol for at least 3 weeks after the procedure.
