Rehabilitation and pain treatment to restore knee function after surgery.
Many patients expect to return to daily life as before right after surgery. In reality, however, right after surgery joint movement is limited, motor control and balance are dulled, and muscle strength is reduced, so it is hard to walk normally straight away. That is why, after knee joint surgery, patients should work to restore normal leg function through continuous rehabilitation and steady care. Early rehabilitation in particular is very helpful for restoring range of motion, strengthening muscles and regaining balance.
